Vicki Vrana Popejoy, M.D.

Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Vicki Popejoy has always found great joy in caring for children and their families. She particularly enjoys talking to the first-time moms, creatively examining preschoolers and candid conversations with adolescents about their specific health needs. Dr. Popejoy feels it is a privilege to monitor the children as they grow and develop.

Before joining the Hillcrest Pediatric Clinic in 2006, Dr. Popejoy practiced with a Scott & White pediatric clinic in Temple, Texas. She completed her Pediatric residency at the Texas A&M Health Science Center at Scott & White Children’s Hospital, which is also in Temple, where she served as Chief Resident. The American Academy of Pediatrics Fellow graduated with honors and a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and received her bachelor’s of science in biology from Texas A & M University. Dr. Popejoy is native to Central Texas having spent much of her childhood in Westphalia, Texas and attending Rosebud-Lot High School.

Dr. Popejoy and her husband, Andy Popejoy, M.D. who is an emergency medicine physician, reside in Waco, Texas with their three children: Jackson (4), Katherine (3) and Bethany (2). Her children are her greatest pride and she loves nurturing them as they grow and change everyday.

Dr. Popejoy and her family enjoy the faith community at Fellowship Bible Church in Waco and she enjoys being surrounded by family and friends. Dr. Popejoy enjoys exercising, particularly running, to keep healthy and bring life balance. She also enjoys music, reading, decorating, craft projects, and making cookies with her children.
